How to Register an Account for the eSmartCam App?

Download and open the eSmartCam application on your smartphone. Click “Register” to start registration. Follow the instructions, fill in the account name and set the password. You will need to verify your account by filling in an email address, then a verification code will be sent. After filling in the verification code, the registration procedure is done.

How to perform a factory reset?

Please press the reset button under or on the back of the camera for about 5 seconds until the camera reboots. Please make sure the power supply is connected to the camera.

Does it support the SD storage?

Our wifi camera supports the TF card storage (small size micro SD card only), for the storage speed requirements, we recommend you use the TF card which the transmission speed is class -10. The IP camera also supports the 128GB TF card and doesn’t support hotplug.

How to record the video?

There are two ways to record the video :

1) TF card. When the camera is inserted with a TF card, you can click the record button on the camera screen, the video will be stored to the TF card automatically. When the TF card is full, it will cover the previous records to continue. Note: Please plug in the TF card first before you plug in the power.

2) Stored in the phone’s storage space. When you use the APP to monitor, you can click the “video” button to start recording. The video will continue to be recorded until you click the stop button. You can watch playback directly on your phone, or use the other media player to play the video file stored on the mobile phone or TF card.

How long can a 128GB TF card store the footages?

The storage time is determined by several factors, such as the recording clarity settings, the scene scenarios, etc.

Take the 128G TF card as an example, Full HD (1280×960) = 8 days, HD = 16 days, SD = 24 days, Smooth = 32 days.

But if the scene has the rich colors, and there are many moving objects, the video will require more storages.

How to retrieve the data stored in the TF card?

No, the data can not be recovered if the camera or the TF card was taken away or destroyed. All the video data is stored in the TF card.

But you can check out the snapshots taken by the motion alerts on the App to see the unexpected movements before the camera was taken.

 Alarm not works, my phone can not receive any message push?

  1. Please check phone setting – notifications management, if the notification permission is allow.
  2. Please check the app, set the alarm, if the humanoid alarm or crying detection if open, and the alarm time is  valid.
  3. If Andorid phone, please chect Me – App Settings – Push on-off if open.

Can I view the videos on my computer?

Currently, it does not support the real-time live videos on the computer. However, you can use the other media player on the computer to play the mp4 file stored in the mobile phone or the TF card.

If my IP camera is disconnected from the network, can it still record?

Yes. After the successful configuration, if it is disconnected from the internet but the power is still on (with the TF card inserted), it can loop record. However, it must be reconnected to the internet through the app before viewing the recorded video.

How many phones can be connected to a wifi camera at the same time?

A camera can only be controlled by a mobile phone as a primary account. But if you want to share the camera screen, you can share it to up to 3 phones.

A phone can connect to many cameras. We support up to 4 cameras to be monitored and operated at the same time.

Can it work with 5G WiFi?

No, our IP camera works with the 2.4G WiFi. But the most routers providing the 5G network are dual-band, which supports the 2.4G WiFi as well.

Why does my camera fail to connect to the network?

Make sure you connect to the correct router. Some public routers which need to log in and authenticate are not supported.

Please make sure that the network name and password you configured are correct.

Our IP camera does not support the 5G Wi-Fi, the 2.4G network only.

Please double check whether your phone is WLAN disabled, or the MAC address of your phone is disable to connect the router.

My App says that the device has been logged in by other users?

Press the reset button (at the camera’s bottom usually) for about 5 seconds until the camera is restarted.

Why is my Motion Detection alarm with no sound notification?

Please check your phone’s notification setting and make sure it is on. You can hear the notification sound only if you didn’t mute the phone.

Why are alerts not triggered sometimes?

Please check whether the alerts button is turned on in the Settings. Also please note that the alerts are sent to your phone via the internet, so the internet connection speed of your phone and the camera may cause the delay of the alert.

Can this Wi-Fi camera make two-way calls?

Our Wi-Fi camera is with the built-in high-quality microphone and speaker. Press the microphone icon on the mobile APP, you can talk with your families with the clear and moderate volume.

Can I adjust the volume while playing songs?

No, the volume is the default setting on the speaker and it could not be adjusted.

Can I turn off the red lights when the camera is using night vision?

The product is with Night vision IR Cut function. If it is in the dark or at night, it will open the 10 infrared LEDs automatically. The lights could not be closed individually. If it is in the daytime, the led lights will close automatically.

How many can the camera save the positions?

It supports to save up to 6 positions. When you set the seventh position, the first one will be rewritten.

Can I update the firmware without a TF card?

Yes, all the versions of our camera support updating without the TF card.

Please Note: Before the firmware update progress is completed, please keep the camera plugged into the power and make sure the network is connected, and keep the eSmartCam app active on your phone.
